In summary, this is the most original R107 we have ever had. Except for one panel, it still retains its original paint (Signal Red 568), with the original interior (Cream 155), wood trim, and even the original soft-top and windshield. The windshield still has a sticker from the official Mercedes-Benz dealer where the car was originally delivered, along with its original service booklets, completed and stamped by them.

We purchased this car to drive it ourselves. As R107 specialist, you develop a keen sense for noticing every sound and imperfection. Only in a car as good as this one can we truly enjoy driving, without being distracted by anything less than perfect. Over time, we have driven this 280 SL from 38.000 km to 42.000 original kilometers, and now it’s time for something new.

In our workshop, we have invested approximately €16.000 in repairs on this car, mainly addressing technical issues related to its limited use over the years. Additionally, we have spent a lot of time fine-tuning the final details we noticed during the 4.000 kilometers we drove it. The 5-speed manual gearbox makes the 280 SL a versatile cruiser, equally enjoyable for long-distance driving or spirited trips through the mountains. With the original hardtop in place, it offers the comfort of a coupe.
