What does a Health Check involve?

A Health Check is a thorough evaluation to assess the overall health and performance of your car. We begin with a comprehensive inspection on the lift. Afterward, we examine the vital aspects of your vehicle on the ground and take it for a test drive. These inspections are intended to identify potential issues and wear and tear early on. Depending on your needs and the selected Health Check package (see below), we can also pay attention to non-essential systems and optional components. For our inspections, we use a carefully developed checklist consisting of 291, 368, or 436 checkpoints, ranging from technical parts to the condition of the upholstery and paintwork. Based on the performed checks and your goals for the vehicle, we provide a customized cost estimate. This cost estimate is divided into three categories: essential, expected, and optional. This way, you get a very clear picture of which repairs require your immediate attention and can make informed investments.

What benefit do I gain from a Health Check?

In our workshop, we frequently encounter a similar situation. A new customer approaches us after purchasing an R107 or C107 model. Sometimes, such a vehicle has a very solid foundation, while at other times, it requires extensive work. Almost always, these cars require urgent or significant repairs that buyers had not anticipated. In the best-case scenario, these individuals turn to us right away, allowing us to set them on the right path with a Health Check towards a sound vehicle. This way, new owners have an idea of the repair work they can expect, both in the present and in the coming years. It also happens that these individuals do not immediately seek our assistance, leading them to invest in the wrong areas. An example of this is allocating their repair budget to installing a more attractive soft-top, while an essential injection problem requires attention.

Thanks to this way of working, we’ve also saved customers from investing in the completely wrong vehicle. It’s not uncommon for people to purchase a car at a very low price, thinking they can’t go wrong.
